    Jayne Overgard earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from UW Madison; two of the undergraduate years were at UC Berkeley, where she also worked as a math tutor for the Student Learning Center on campus.

    She was head of the Mathematics Department at Concordia High School in Oakland, CA for four years, where she taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Calculus. She tutored students at the University of Wisconsin at Madison for one year, and taught SAT Math Prep through the Piedmont Adult School.

    In the recent past she taught Algebra and Geometry for the Grass Valley Charter School, Nevada City School of the Arts, and Forest Charter School.

    She is a faculty candidate for Axia College, an online community college of the University of Phoenix. She also tutors privately.



    Jayne is uniquely able to make sense out of math and to explain concepts in a way that is understandable to the student.
